Apparently this stuff is meant to come out next year just in time for the 2012 zombie apocalypse. ;)
Don't know what exactly makes it zombie ammo but I would probably still end up buying it if it ever comes to Australia. :D

Hmmmm, i'm up for a bit of fun as much as the next guy, but really, is it fair to say this Zombie thing is getting a bit out of hand when a major ammunition company starts producing a line of ammo especially for killing these imaginary creatures

Whats next, speciality ammo for aliens, were wolves, cyborgs, and all the other mythical beasties... :P

thanks for posting this up Alkapatino, i guess sometimes truth is really stanger than fiction.

Cheers

I think this could be cool.

If it's real, it's obviously all in fun. My guess would be it's just a different looking box for some varmint style projectiles or something. I'd probably buy a box for the fun of it to be honest.

Everyone knows zombies aren't real, but this wouldn't be the first time a manufacturer of sorts has taken hold of a fad and run with it to make a bit of money. At the end of the day, if the rounds are good, use them.

Seriously who would NOT buy a box of Zombie ammo just out of curiosity?

If not just for a collectable provided we make it to 2013.

If zombies do happen, ah well.

If zombies dont come, ah well you can still shoot them

Its a win win situation really I dont see the problem.

I NEVER buy factory ammo but I will buy a box of zombie ammo just for shits n giggles if they release it here.

I think there is a bit of a cross-cultural misunderstanding.

Since Sept. 11, there are some new and crazy laws here in America. Now, if you form a private militia (which is permitted in our constitution), the FBI has a hissy fit. So we sometimes call the militias "Zombie Squads". In our history books about our Revolutionary War, the militias were called "Minute Men" - ready in a minute to fight against the red coats (aka British Regulars) in the name of freedom, liberty, etc.

So this is a COMMERCIAL product that is, in essence, giving credence to the concept of paramilitary entities. It is actually a very serious proposition for a very uncertain future for a country of very intense folk.

Cheers! Happy zombie hunting!

Hey Stoobers, thanks for your imput. I would never have guessed that in a million years, makes perfect sense though, things must be getting touchy in the U.S in light of developments like this...

Opinions are like nipples, everybody has them. The really good ones have firm points, others are barely discernible through layers, but the worst ones are displayed at every opportunity, regardless of whether the audience has stated "I am interested in your nipples" or not. Cats have eight.

Dam it would almost be worth getting the permits to import ammunition (if possible) and bring in a huge amount of them and split all the costs involved with the interested parties. I do hope we get that ammo here.

Edit: just had a look and all I could find was that I need a B709A form. Mite have to find someone who will export and do a little more research.

no, what comes next is that the ammo is banned my the Australian government because like everything "tactical", zombie stuff is also evil to the general public.

HA HA

its just clever marketing.
"tactical" is almost all used up, so now they need to find something new.

with the push on the zombie culture (movies etc) why not cash in ??

i'm sure if Federal released a Xbox / PS3 or COD line of ammo, people would buy it.

They must be going to bring them in. They are advertised in the latest guns and game mag and have the aussie importers details, though not listed on the website as yet
