Fellow Shooters

I am introducing the new PWS T3 Summit rifle from the USA. It is .22cal and primarily designed for target shooters, however it is light and agile enough for the hunt. It has been fitted with a Chrome-Moly barrel and a tensioned carbon fiber sleeve over the top, this ensures that the barrel will be extremely accurate for as long as you own the rifle. It also comes with an adjustable match grade trigger, a 20MOA picatinny rail and a receiver machined from aluminum billet. The rifle will accept most accessories designed for the Ruger 10/22, however despite some claims it CANNOT be converted simply into a semi-auto weapon. Such modifications are illegal and would require substantial modifications to the receiver. Platt Ordnance will be distributing the first rifles to the general public for a heavily discounted price in order to "spread the word" however they will be available from all good gun shops later in the year. Feel free to post or email any questions you may have, i'll post some helpful links below.

G'day Mate

The PWS T3 should fit into any stock adapted for the Ruger 10/22 as it followed the same design parameters. That said, as with any replacement stock for a rifle i cannot assure that the new stock is properly made and therefore like i said, it should be fine. See the attached picture of a T3 in a houge stock

Good question there guys, multiple reasons though. Basically some people like to shoot the .22 round out to 300m and this rail allows the scope more range to cope with the shot. Secondly, the V-block attachment of the barrel if over tightened can cause drooping of the barrel and this rail compensates for that. At ranges of 100m or less the 20MOA will make little difference. I hope this has answered your question fully.

G'day All

If the pictures that i threw up weren't enough enticement for you watch the video below from PWS. Remember, for a limited time we are selling these for $900 AUD. Once initial stocks are gone we will distribute only to licensed gun shops and prices will go up.

Any chance you could get one sent to some major gunshops so we can handle them?

With the limited numbers that i have, possibly not. However i do intend to have them distributed to gun shops very soon so you wont need to wait very long. The first ones we are selling were a sort of trial run to get a feeling of how the Australian shooting community would take to them, the reaction has been unprecedentedly large and i have every intention to go ahead with full scale distribution. My apologies I couldn't be more helpful in the short term.

If these go in a archangel stock, I would defiantly be very interested in one

How many do you have left in your original limited shipment?

G'day Mate

Only two left from the initial 10, looks like i have buyers for them though. The next lot that i import will be exclusively for gun shops and i'll post it up here as we ship out to the different stores. Keep an eye out at you local. In answer to your question these rifles ship from factory with only the predator stocks attached, like any other rifle if you wish to adapt an aftermarket stock it must be done post sale.

G'day All

I'd like to thank you for the response on this thread and via emails. I assure you that bringing in these rifles is currently my top priority and i will do my best to ensure that they are sold for a fair and reasonable price in the stores. I am a dealer and have the capability to "adjust" the store prices if they are unfair in the sale price, competition is a wonderful thing. Fully enclosed stocks may be a problem for you but as a smith i overcome problems daily, depending on the stock you may be able to get away with a fully enclosed. I will be trialing a houge stock on mine as they do look sexy. If i can get to a range today i'll post up some accuracy results for you all.

Thanks again, keep the questions and comments coming.

G'day, can you please confirm what is the standard stock colour they come with? The greyish/black or the red that Cleaver is advertising. Do we have to order through dealers for different stock choices?

I was wondering if there is a Melbourne gun dealer who might now have one of these.
I'm interested, but would like to see one first hand.

I rang clayton firearms when these posts started up and they hadn't even heard of them yet.

I might give them another call during the week.

I don't know who's bringing them to Australia. I sent the us manufacturer/supplier an email asking about them. And asked if cleavers was ripping us off. Their response was who's cleavers. Their not on their dealer list. So dunno how they got them or from who.

I'm assuming that they use a Ruger 10/22 trigger/hammer mechanism as well as being able to use the 10/22 barrel, magazines and a modified stock?

No such thing mate. The T-Rex stock is ambi-dexterous however the action of the weapon only comes right handed at the moment. I have approached the manufacturer about making a left handed version and they have been looking into it however no indication when this might be available. That all said, the oversized straight pull charging handle on this weapon make it usable for left handed shooters. I myself shot a few groups left handed and didn't experience too many difficulties.

I hope that helps.
